1. Swissvale Crime Watch Meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 8— Residents of Swissvale are asked to attend/join Swissvale Crime Watch at 7 p.m. at Living Spirit Ministries 7415 Irvine Street Swissvale. K-9 Officer Zacchia and his partner Officer Brando will give a presentation.  Learn more here

2. Woodland Hills School Board, Wednesday, Oct. 9—Woodland Hills School Board will hold its agenda setting meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the district administrative office, 2430 Greensburg Pike.

3. Family Story Time, Tuesday, Oct. 8—Share a story with your little ones at  the following times and locations:  C.C. Mellor Fred Rogers Room at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 9 for children under 5; and at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Churchill Borough Building at 10:30 am Thursday, Oct. 10 and Wilkins Township Recreation Building at 10:30 am Friday, Oct. 11.  

4. Wilkinsburg Farmers MarketThursday, Oct. 10—The Wilkinsburg Farmers' Market is held from 3 to 6 p.m. each Thursday through Nov. 21. The market will be located in the parking lot between 732 and 744 Ross Avenues, behind South Avenue United Methodist Church.
5. Urban EcoStewards Native Plant Propagation, Saturday, Oct. 12—Learn how to collect and grow native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers from seed or cuttings to replant and repopulate your EcoSteward site from 9 a.m. to noon. Citiparks Frick Environmental Center staff will lead this training at the Falls Ravine Shelter at the intersection of Tranquil Trail and Falls Ravine Trail. Registration required
