Wilkinsburg Documentary, School Days and Food Truck Monday Highlight the Week

Patch gives you a rundown of five things happening around the community.

1. It's Back to School

On Monday, Aug. 26, students in the Woodland Hills School District will return to the classroom. Click here for back to school statistics.

2. Wilkinsburg: The Way We See It

Monday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. students from Wilkinsburg will host a screening of their short documentary Wilkinsburg: The Way We See It, at Hosanna House. Admission is free. More details here

3. Food Truck Monday: Steer and Wheel

Monday, Aug. 26 at 5:30 p.m. Bring your dog, join Animal Nature on their patio with your Food Truck yummies, and hang out. More information here.

4. Animal Rescue League Speaker

Saturday, Aug. 31, 1 p.m. at Drew's on Ardmore in Forest Hills. Bill Blair from the Animal Rescue League will speak at this week's Forest Hills Rotary Meeting.  The topic will be "Feral Cats and Pet Advice." More details here.

5. Dog Wash for Charity

Saturday Aug. 31, 11 a.m. Animal Nature, 7610 Forbes Ave., corner of Forbes and Braddock, around the side. Bring your dog--any breed--to get washed, with your choice of shampoo, towel dry, with a treat chaser.  Nails, ears and eyes get special care for small additional fees, if conditions permit.
