Wings Over Swissvale, Story Time, Meetings Set for This Week

1. Toastmasters, Tuesday, Sept. 3— The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment. You'll love the applause! Constructive evaluation is the heart of the Toastmasters program. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. In C.C. Mellor Memorial Library Conference Room. Call 412-731-0909 for more information. 

2. Family Story Time, Tuesday, Sept. 3—Story time resumes today after a two week hiatus. Share a story with your little ones at  the following times and locations:  C.C. Mellor Fred Rogers Room at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for children under 5; and at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Churchill Borough Building at 10:30 am Thursday and Wilkins Township Recreation Building at 10:30 am Friday.  

3. Wings over Swissvale, Saturday, Sept. 7—The Swissvale Rotary Club is having its third annual "Wings over Swissvale" cook off at Les Getz Memorial Field. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. . 

4. Regent Square Civic Association Meets, Tuesday, Sept. 3—The regular RSCA board meeting begins at 7 p.m. at WSCC, 7604 Charleston Ave,. between S. Braddock and Milton Avenue. All Regent Square residents are welcome to attend these meetings to voice a community issue, volunteer to help, or just to find out what's going in Regent Square. 5. Woodland Hills School Board, Wednesday, Sept. 4—Woodland Hills School Board will hold its agenda setting meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the district administrative office, 2430 Greensburg Pike.
