I've lived in Regent Square with my partner, son and dog for 11 years now and in the East End for 16 years prior to that. I've worn a fair share of hats in my life - been a nurse (oncology, hospice, research, school and camp); a sales rep (IBM); a mom (one son, now in college); and most recently, a Local Coordinator with CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange). I'm liberal, democrat by registration, but find politics and the political system fracturing and wasteful. Nevertheless, I try to stay informed at least some of the time. I am very concerned about the environment, recycle anything I can (thank you Construction Junction),w ish I could afford a Prius or other hybrid and enjoy bicycling. Yay Pittsburgh for becoming a more bike friendly town!
