PennDOT Announces Squirrel Hill Tunnel Holiday Schedule
Squirrel Hill Tunnel rehabilitation work is suspended Saturday morning through Jan. 1; work resumes Jan. 2.
Work to rehabilitate the Squirrel Hill Tunnel on the Parkway East (I-376) in the will continue through Saturday morning, Dec. 22. After Saturday morning, no restrictions related to the rehabilitation project will occur in the tunnel through the upcoming holidays. The following schedule will occur: Westbound single lane traffic: Eastbound single lane traffic: No westbound full closures are scheduled at this time. Routine tunnel maintenance may still necessitate some short-term, overnight restrictions.
