Broken Pipe Causes Icy Issues at Domino's Pizza

Road rage incident, dogs left out in cold and damaged hedges among other police blotter items in Forest Hills this week.

Water and cold temperatures can create hazards for motorists and pedestrians this time of year, even at places with hot ovens. Police received a report about 1:30 p.m. that employees at Domino's Pizza were spraying water on the sidewalk and Ardmore Boulevard outside the business. Upon investigation, police learned that a pipe break was responsible for the mess and that the employees were trying to clean it up. Police advised them they were inadvertently causing hazardous conditions. They stopped the cleanup and put down salt. The borough public works crew also was called to throw some salt on Ardmore.
