The sign in the parking lot of Roman Bistro on Ardmore Boulevard actually is looking to days beyond Dec. 21.

There are three local places to find jobs. Do you know of others?
People complain about a lack of jobs, but there are retail businesses, restaurants, schools and companies out there in the Forest Hills, Edgewood and Swissvale areas seeking new employees. Roman Bistro in Forest Hills has a "now hiring" sign outside the Ardmore Boulevard restaurant. CVS/Caremark has a sign posted along Business Route 22 in Wilkins Township looking for workers. And the Environmental Charter School at Frick Park in Regent Square is looking for substitute teachers and nurses. Does your company or business have a job opening? Post it in the comments section below. ----- Forest Hills-Regent Square Patch is on Facebook and on Twitter. Don't forget to sign up for our daily email newsletter by clicking here.

Local tenor John Walters is performing tonight at 8 p.m. at Roman Bistro on Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills. Walter has been performing regionally for more than two decades. His stage career began at Saint Vincent Summer Theater, where he received his degree in English literature in 1985. Walters' operatic repertoire includes such roles as Rodolfo in La boheme, Zsupan in The Gypsy Baron, Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi, Sid in Albert Herring, and Topp in The Tender Land, for the Duquesne Opera Workshop.
