Have a sweet tooth? You're in luck!
A new pastry studio is opening its doors in Regent Square on Friday. Vanilla Pastry Studio has relocated from East Liberty to a new space adjacent to Typhoon Lighting and across the street from Square Cafe. "Our move is coming along beautifully! We will be re-opening on Friday! The Sugar Fairies have been flying to get our new space all ready! The pink espresso machine will be installed today! We look forward to seeing all of our Fans in Regent Square!" the shop's Facebook page announced Wednesday. The Boutique Bakery specializes in cupcakes, lollys, custom cakes, wedding cakes and dessert tables. Patch was unable to reach the owner of Vanilla for comment. The CommuteInfo program is designed to increase the number of people who travel to work or to school by riding transit, carpooling, vanpooling or bikepooling.
Commuters in the Forest Hills-Regent Square area can turn their morning and evening commutes into ones that save money and help the environment. The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission's CommuteInfo program works with transportation management associations, transportation providers, businesses and non-profit service organizations in Allegheny County and nine other counties to increase the number of people who travel to work or to school by riding transit, carpooling, vanpooling or bikepooling. CommuteInfo's goal is for commuters living, working or attending school within Allegheny County to choose ridesharing at least twice per week.
