Edgewood police reponded to four retail theft incidents at the Giant Eagle in Edgewood Towne Centre during the first half of January—and the stolen items were an unusual mix: Giant Eagle will handle all the incidents through private prosecution. Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a mugging of a woman in Swissvale on Saturday.
UPDATE: Allegheny County police have identified and arrested the two females pictured. They are 13 and 15 years of age. Both will be treated as juveniles and charged with robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy. County police said further information concerning the juveniles can be released. --- Allegheny County police are seeking help from the public to identify suspects who attacked a woman in Swissvale on Aug. 11. At roughly 10:20 p.m. Saturday, a 62-year-old woman was forcibly robbed of her purse near the intersection of Vernon Street and Woodstock Avenue in Swissvale. The victim suffered a blow to the head that left her incapacitated. She is expected to survive her injuries, according to a press release issued by Lt. Andrew …
