Upon arrival, an officer found the white-and-black bluetick coonhound outside. The officer advised the owner of the complaint and the dog was taken inside. The same day, a black lab mix with no tags was found by a resident in the 100 block of Avenue L about 9:20 p.m. The owner was located on Sumner Avenue and the dog was returned. Missing Dog Returns Home After 6-Month Adventure

A Mt. Lebanon family found their collie-shepherd mix in Beechview after she ran away six months ago.

When Jami Estabrook’s beloved dog named Molly escaped from her Mt. Lebanon home last August, she did everything in her power to find her. Estabrook scoured the area in her car, put up 400 “Lost Dog” fliers from Bridgeville to Bethel Park and even knocked on doors to see if her collie-shepherd mix with long black hair was wandering around their neighborhoods. Despite numerous close calls and apparent sightings between Mt. Lebanon’s Rec Center and St. Clair Hospital, she could never catch up with the elusive Molly. Even one of her traps only turned up an angry raccoon. But after six months of searching, she never gave up hope that her dog would appear alive. Then, the day after posting one last bit of information on her Facebook page, she …

Update: Emma the Lost Dog Is Home

A happy ending to a lost doggie tale.

Emma, the dog that has been missing since Monday, has been returned—and she also has a new name, Ella. She was captured in a humane trap on Thursday evening on Marbury Road in Churchill and returned to her owner, Adam Gaynor, who had just adopted Ella and her sister on Monday.  "Her leash became tangled with her sister's," said Sandy Reech of Track A Pet Pittsburgh. "While trying to untangle them, she got loose." Reech, along with Deb Jugan and Peggy Buckley, who are also involved with Track A Pet Pittsburgh, were instrumental in helping Ella find her way home to her owner. Track A Pet, which helps find lost pets, has two humane traps and had just purchased the second one. "My husband Jim and I had the new trap and transported it to Forest…
