Energy-Efficient Light Bulb Purchases Help Dollar Energy Fund

When customers purchase discounted CFL or LED light bulbs at participating retailers, it benefits the Dollar Energy Fund that assists income-challenged individuals pay their utility bills.

Duquesne Light is helping community residents conserve energy and save money all while helping their neighbors in need this holiday season. Through the end of the month, when customers purchase discounted CFL or LED light bulbs at participating retailers, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Dollar Energy Fund, a local nonprofit organization that assists income-challenged individuals pay their utility bills. “This is really a win-win for customers and the Dollar Energy Fund,” said Dave Defide, manager of customer programs at Duquesne Light. “Not only do customers save money on the purchase of energy-efficient light bulbs thanks to Duquesne Light rebates, they will also see savings on their electric bills all while helping their …
