U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force Captures Shooting Suspect in Braddock

Julian Sims is apprehended Thursday on charges stemming from an incident in McKeesport where four people were shot.

Julian L. Sims, the suspect in a New Year’s Eve shooting that injured four people when he allegedly crashed a party in McKeesport, has been arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force Officers at approximately 4:30 pm this afternoon in the 400 block of Stokes Ave in Braddock.  Allegheny County police issued a warrant for Julian Sims, 20, on charges of criminal attempt homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of recklessly endangering others and firearms violations following the New Year’s Eve incident.  The shooting happened at approximately 3:12 a.m., according to county police. Allegheny County Police Seek Suspect in McKeesport Shootings

Julian Sims, the suspect, is known to frequent Wilkinsburg and Braddock.

A man known to frequent the areas of Wilkinsburg, Braddock, and Duquesne is wanted in connection with the shooting of four people during a New Year's Eve party in McKeesport. According to Allegheny County police, the shooter has been identified as 20-year-old Julian Sims. A warrant has been obtained for Sims, charging him with one count of criminal attempt homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of recklessly endangering other persons, and firearms violations. Sims has a previously existing warrant for firearms violations. Sims is a light skinned black male, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches; and about 145 pounds. He has freckles and a large tattoo on the left side of his neck that says “Bridgette”. He should be considered …
