Christ Lutheran School Gives a Hand to Ronald McDonald House

Students and staff at Christ Lutheran School in Forest Hills got together to help families in need. During the month of February, the students and staff collected their chapel offerings for the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh. Their goal was to "Stuff a Crib." A variety of things were collected such as pantry items, paper products for the kitchen and travel size personal hygiene items. A Pack 'n Play also was purchased with the monetary donations that were collected. The students also participated in a can tab collection contest. Each class collected can tabs for the entire month and tabs were weighed. A total of 28 pounds of tabs were collected—about 44,500 tabs.
