The following cases recently were heard by District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills: Michael C. Tomson, 46, of Swissvale was held for court on charges of solicitation, forgery and disorderly conduct. Swissvale police charged him May 9. Leslie Darnail Wallace, 42, of Homestead waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of presenting false I.D. to law enforcement, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving while suspended. State police charged her in Edgewood borough May 12. The following cases recently were heard by District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills: Michael Lamont Moore, 18, of Swissvale waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Swissvale police arrested him March 30 after watching a suspected drug transaction while on patrol. Moore began to run away from police. Later, police found four baggies of suspected marijuana on his person, along with one rock of crack cocaine and a scale, police reported. They also found $213 in cash. A man from the South Hills area was arrested last Friday night after leading police in a high-speed chase that ended with one Swissvale police officer injured. Benjamin R. Klink, 29 waived his right to a preliminary hearing this week before District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills. Klink faces charges that include criminal mischief, fleeing or eluding an officer, driving with a suspended license, four counts of recklessly endangering others, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper display of plate, three counts of duties at a stop sign, two counts of simple assault and driving without lights to avoid arrest, according to court documents. A Woodland Hills High School student has been charged after attacking, hitting and kicking the assistant principal. Cortrell McKenzie, 18, of North Braddock waived his right to a hearing this week before District Judge Thomas Caulfield. He is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and harassment, after an altercation with staff member Kevin Murray Jan. 19. It was McKenzie's 18th birthday, according to court documents. The police criminal complaint states that Churchill police were called to the school after McKenzie was being restrained on the ground by staff members in a classroom. Kne, 39, of Chagrin Falls, OH waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, turn signals required, improper stop, driving at safe speed and careless driving. State police arrested Kne Jan. 1 on the Parkway East in Churchill after a traffic stop that stemmed from the car swerving across lanes. Police said Kne could barely stand and smelled of alcohol. The following cases recently were heard by District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills: Kirk Rice, 52, of Chalfant waived his right to a preliminary hearing on one count of theft by unlawful taking. Rice was charged Sept. 21 by Forest Hills police after an investigation stemming from an incident in which Rice reportedly took a tool from a residence on Kenmore Avenue. The victim found the tool missing and called police. Neighbors said they had seen a green truck stop near the house.
