Parkway East Commercial Street Bridge Inspection Saturday and Sunday
Restrictions will be, as needed, from 6 a.m. to noon.
Short-term single lane closures on the westbound (inbound) Parkway East will occur on Saturday and Sunday mornings, Jan. 12 and 13, weather permitting. Crews will be inspecting the bridge that carries I-376 over Commercial Street between the Edgewood-Swissvale interchange and the Squirrel Hill Tunnel, according to PennDOT District 11 spokesman Jim Struzzi. Restrictions will occur as needed from 6 a.m. to noon both days. Crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Co. will conduct the work. PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down, and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.
