North Braddock Man Faces DUI Charges After Driving Wrong Way

District Judge Thomas Caulfield hears several cases in his Forest Hills courtroom last week.

John W. Banks, 65, of North Braddock faces three different DUI charges after an accident occurred while he was driving the wrong way Dec. 16, 2012 on Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills. Banks waived his right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Thomas Caulfield on Feb. 13 on charges of driving under the influence (general impairment/incapable of driving safely, second offense), driving under the influence (high rate of alcohol, blood alcohol content .10 to .16, second offense) and driving under the influence (general impairment/incapable of driving safety, first offense). Man Faces DUI Charges After Falling Asleep at Wheel in Churchill

A police officer found Tyler Stevens of Penn Township slumped over the wheel at Route 22 Intersection.

Tyler McGhee Stevens, 26, of Penn Township waived his right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Thomas Caulfield on Nov. 28 on a charge of driving under the influence: general impairment/incapable of driving, first offense. According to a criminal complaint, a passing motorist called Churchill police after seeing Stevens slumped over the steering wheel during a green light at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Rodi Road. A Wilkins Township officer responded to the call and found Stevens asleep at the wheel with the vehicle running and transmission in "drive." Woodland Hills Student Charged with Resisting Arrest, Stunned with Taser

The incident occurred at the high school May 8.

Churchill police recently tased a Woodland Hills High School student during an incident in which he and his girlfriend were found reportedly trying to have sex in a locker room. The student, Paul Baker Jr., 18, of Churchill waived his right to a preliminary hearing this week before District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills. He is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, two counts of harassment and two counts of simple assault, according to court documents. An officer on duty at the school May 8 was called to assist after a teacher contacted him from a locker room.
