Aaron White, 38, of 108 Kelvington Dr., Monroeville, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Kim M. Hoots on Sept. 27 on charges of false identification to law enforcement officers, false report/falsely incriminate another, failure to carry license, driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked, and operating a vehicle without the required financial responsibility. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after White gave the name, date of birth, Social Security number and address of his brother after a traffic stop on April 3. On May 1, the brother reported that he had received a notice from district court that his driving privileges would be suspended for failure to respond to a citation issued for the …

After being attacked in the Strip District, a Regent Square man was left with a fractured jaw, loose teeth, astronomical bills—and a throng of neighbors lending their help.
When William Reed Wingo went out one Saturday, he figured on it being a wild night—“wild” by his standards, anyway. He finished work (he’s the catering manager at Square Café in Regent Square), went for a six-mile run (he’s also the founder of the Square Run Club), and headed to the Strip District to go dancing. “A wild Saturday night for me is dancing at 11 and being home by 1 and in bed,” Wingo said. The night got crazier than he anticipated—before it even began.
