Fate of Ardmore Boulevard Office Building Up in Air Again

The 102-year-old building had no bidders at a sheriff‘s sale this week, so the mortgage holder has taken the foreclosed property.

The vacant 102-year-old office building at the corner of Ardmore Boulevard and Braddock Road in Forest Hills had no bidders at an Allegheny County Sheriff's sale this week. Just last summer, Giant Eagle wanted as a site for a GetGo gas station but the supermarket chain was unable to secure enough property to make that happen after Forest Hills Presbyterian Church members voted against selling a portion of the church property needed to make that happen. With no one interested in bidding on the building, the mortgage holder, Verona-based Engineered Products Inc., took the foreclosed property, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Wilkinsburg Man Accused of Threatening Paralyzed Policeman

Irvin Glaze was charged with harassment and other charges Monday, after authorities say he threatened officer James Kuzak. He was jailed today.

A Wilkinsburg man is in jail after the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department charged him Monday with threatening James Kuzak, the policeman who was paralyzed after being shot while responding to a home invasion while working in Clairton. “Investigators say (Irvin) Glaze threatened to knock Kuzak out of his wheelchair following the acquittal of two men on attempted homicide charges in connection with (the) April 2011 home-invasion,” the Associated Press reported. One of the men was convicted of burglary and other charges in that case. “Officials say the man, Glaze, also caused a disturbance in a courtroom after threatening Kuzak,” according to the news agency.
