The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD), a non-profit, tuition-free school, provides academic and extracurricular programs to deaf and hard of hearing children from birth through twelfth grade.
Founded in 1869, WPSD continues its tradition of excellence through services to more than 320 children from 53 counties across Pennsylvania. The Programs of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf include WPSD in Edgewood, The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, The Choices for Children state-wide early intervention program, the Children's Center of Central PA (Hershey, PA) and the Camp Hill Outreach Center.
