When/Where: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church parking lot, 1840 Ardmore Boulevard, Forest Hills.

Why Go: Come and enjoy the fresh produce, artisan breads, freshly prepared pierogies, berries, pasta and organic fare. Plus, meet the local farmers who bring healthy food options. The market is run by the Forest Hills Late Bloomers Garden Club

Admission: Free. 

 

Dog Wash for Charity

When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at Animal Nature, 7610 Forbes Ave. 

Why Go:  Come on by and get your dog washed, with your choice of shampoo

Admission: $10 per dog, no matter what size. 

 

Allegheny County Music Festival

When/Where: 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 at Hartwood Acres, Hampton Township. 

Why Go: This annual benefit concert, featuring Rusted Root, is for the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund, which provides life-enriching items and opportunities for children served through DHS and Juvenile Probation.

Admission: $20 per car suggested donation.

 

Food Truck Monday

When/Where: 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2 at Animal Nature, 7610 Forbes Ave. 

Why Go: Why labor over a hot stove this Labor Day when you can sample Zum Zum Pierogies on your day off?
