Comcast Employees to Volunteer at Dickson Elementary

In coordination with a day of volunteering, Comcast workers will spend the day in Swissvale.

Local Comcast employees, families and friends will volunteer Saturday at in as part of Comcast Cares Day.

Volunteers will be working in the outdoor classroom garden pulling weeds, spreading mulch, assembling picnic tables, painting and assembling pickets into an existing fence as well as planting flowers and shrubs.

At the same time across the country, more than 67,000 Comcast volunteers will participate in this annual day of service, which is one of the largest single days of corporate volunteer efforts in the country.

Over the previous 10 Comcast Cares Days, the company's volunteers have dedicated more than 2.1 million hours of service.

The company has also contributed more than $10.5 million in grants to organizations nationwide.
