Summer Camp Guide for Forest Hills-Regent Square

Enrollment is starting soon for many summer camps. Here's a selection of summer camps in the Forest Hills-Regent Square area.

With the choice and variety of camps available in southwestern Pennsylvania, boredom won't be an option this summer.

Organizations, from the Citiparks and the YMCA to your local parks and recreation department, offer dozens of camp choices for science, reading, sports, music and more. Whether you're looking for an all-around experience or a more focused camp, this list features a few in our town and nearby.

Name: Woodland Hills Summer Sports Camp
Type of camp: Sports camp.

The camp will be held from June 10 to 13 and June 17 and 20 at the high school. It's open to students entering grades 2 to 8 in August 2013. A variety of sports will be offered throughout the week. The cost is $30 for one child and $25 for additional children in the same family. For more information, click here.

Name: Citiparks
Type of camp: Day camp.

Kinder Nature Camp, Kids Nature Camp, Outdoor Expeditions, Survival Camp and more are offered by Pittsburgh Citiparks. Location and date varies per camp, but there are several sessions at Frick Environmental Center. Applications and other information is available at the Citiparks Summer Day Camps website.
