“Allegheny County arguably has some of the best mountain biking opportunities of any major urban area,” said County Parks Director Andy Baechle. “Within an hour’s drive of downtown Pittsburgh, there are an abundance of trails suitable for everyone from beginners to the most avid mountain bikers. Many of these trails are conveniently located in the Allegheny County parks.”

  • The Hartwood Acres Park ride will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 13. Riders will meet at the Middle Road parking lot between the school and amphitheater stage.
  • The Boyce Park ride will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. Riders will meet at the soccer field. Food and refreshments will be served after the ride.
  • The North Park ride will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 15. Riders will meet at the Parish Hill Barn, which is located up the hill from J.C. Stone Field on Walter Road. A pig roast will take place after the ride. Participants are asked to bring a covered dish to share.
