The Allegheny County parks department will be offering four traveling sports clinics near the Forest Hills area.
The free clinics will take place between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon and 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- July 8 at Center Street Playground in Braddock
- July 9 at 3rd Street Playground in Braddock
- July 10 at Washington Street Playground in Braddock
- July 11 and 12 at Hawkins Village, Kenmawr Avenue in Rankin
The community-based sports clinics for youth ages six and up are funded through the Community Development Block Grant. The clinics offer instruction in proper sports techniques to help each child perform to the best of his or her ability. The clinics also emphasize fundamental rules of play and fair play.
