Allegheny County Parks Ballfield Permit Application Dates Set

Boyce Park will begin accepting league and picnic game applications on Feb. 6.

The Allegheny County Parks Department will accept applications for ballfield permits from organized baseball, softball and soccer leagues at Boyce Park in Plum Borough from Wednesday, Feb. 6 through Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Applications must be filed in person by team representatives at the park offices, 675 Old Frankstown Rd. A certificate of insurance is required with an application for a league permit. Applications for fields at other county parks must be filed at those park offices.

Individuals interested in scheduling picnic games may choose from the remaining dates beginning on Thursday, March 7, when the general release of open ballfield dates will begin. Applications for these games must also be filed in person at the park offices where the requested fields are located.

Acceptance of an application does not guarantee that a permit will be issued for the date requested. All required fees must be paid in full at the time a permit is issued.

Applications are available at the county parks website. For more information, call the Allegheny County Parks Department at 412-350-7275.
