Here's a month-by-month breakdown of school dates you'll need to know:
August

Aug. 21-22—In-service Day (staff), 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Aug. 24—Kindergarten Orientation (first day for kindergarten students)
Aug. 27—First day for students (no kindergarten classes)
September
Sept. 3—Labor Day-No school for students
Sept. 25—Junior High open house, 7-9 p.m.
Sept. 26—Elementary schools/Academy open houses, 7-9 p.m.
Sept. 27—High School open house, 7-9 p.m.
Sept. 28—Clerical Day-No school for students

Oct. 8—1/2 In-service Day (afternoon)-Early dismissal for students

Nov. 8—1/2 In-service Day (afternoon)-Early dismissal for students
Nov. 9—Parent Teacher Conferences, 12:30-8 p.m.-No school for students

March 11-15—PSSA testing, grades 3-8, writing exams
March 28-31—Spring Break-No school
