Wilkingsburg Students Produce Healthy Cooking Show

Lights, camera, action! Let’s Move Pittsburgh! recently partnered with Wilkinsburg High School students and the Youth Media Advocacy Project to produce a healthy cooking show.

The "Food for Thought" video was produced with Wilkinsburg students as part of the Youth Media Advocacy Project. The project aims to encourage Pittsburgh-area high school students to make their voices heard, and to provide students with the knowledge, skills and support to use the media to influence education policy decisions that impact their lives.

Students wanted to create a set of videos detailing why its important to eat healthy. They created two videos, which includes them on camera preparing two dishes they created.

Students did video and sound while documentary filmmaker Kris Veenis did the editing work.
