Season of Woodland Hills Holiday Concerts Begins Dec. 4

Six performances by Woodland Hills student musicians and singers will run through Jan. 14 at schools in Swissvale, Churchill and Turtle Creek.

Music has always been a strong point at Woodland Hills and that sparkles like a decorated tree during the holiday season.

The district has six concerts scheduled over the several weeks at three different venues. All performances begin at 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, Dec. 4: Dickson, Edgewood and Wilkins intermediate band, orchestra and sixth-grade chorus will perform at Woodland Hills Junior High in Swissvale.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 11: Woodland Hills Academy, Fairless and Shaffer intermediate band, orchestra and sixth-grade chorus will perform at the Academy in Turtle Creek. 
  • Tuesday, Dec. 18: Woodland Hills Junior High band, orchestra and chorus are performing at the junior high.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 19: Woodland Hills High School Orchestra, Jazz Band and Chamber Choir will perform at the high school in Churchill.
  • Thursday, Dec. 20: Woodland Hills Academy seventh and eighth-grade band, orchestra and chorus are performing at the academy.
  • Monday, Jan. 14: Woodland Hills High School Concert Band, ninth-grade band, advanced and intermediate choir will perform at the high school.
