Patch All-Star Kid: Woodland Hills Academy's Julia Hills

Julia Hills is this week's All-Star Kid!

All-Star Kid: Julia Hills, Woodland Hills Academy

Accomplishment: Julia, at just 8 years old, played Molly in the production of Annie in the spring of 2010. She was one of the youngest in the cast and still stood out among her peers.

Aside from singing and acting, Hills loves playing instruments. Her instrument of choice is the violin, which she played onstage at the Pittsburgh Music Academy in Carnegie. She’s not practicing for a performance currently, but it won’t be long before she’s on the stage again. She loves performing because, as she says, “you get to show off what you can do!”

All-Star Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Hills' number one priority: have fun! She had a blast playing Molly in the play.

“The costumes were fun, we had to do our makeup so it looked like we had dirt on us,” Hills said. “And we did each other’s hair so we looked like ragamuffins.”

Hills worked perfectly as Molly because of her size.

“They needed someone young and small, and real flexible, I had to jump into a basket when I was pretending to be a drunk Miss Hannigan, that was fun!” Hills said.

While she may have been one of the youngest cast members, Hills wasn’t intimidated at all.

“I played on stage before, it’s really fun performing in front of people,” Hills said.

Keep showing off your stuff, All-Star!
