Students from Shaffer Elementary School in Churchill posted nonspecific threats Monday night on Facebook, prompting an immediate investigation by Woodland Hills School District and Churchill police.
In a memo to parents, Principal Deborah Vereen said she and the school district were alerted to the threats on Monday night.
"An immediate investigation was conducted by the school district and the Churchill Police Department," Vereen wrote. "The students who made the threats were not in the building and the Woodland Hills School District and I will be working with the police to investigate the incident."
Consequences for the students reponsible will be given according to the district's Code of Student Conduct.
"At no time was your child in any danger," Vereen concluded. "Your child continues to be safe at Shaffer Elementary School."
