Dickson Elementary Students Win Wolverine Spirit Awards

Local students honored for their work.

Two students from were named the Wolverine Spirit Award honorees for March.

At the Woodland Hills School Board Meeting on March 9, second grader Colin Colcombe was the first student to be honored. He was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Irene Ellis who said, “Colin is the student that every teacher would love to have. He is a high honors student, conscientious about his class and home work. He is excited about learning; is thoughtful, friendly and well-liked.”

The second award winner for the night was sixth grader Aaron Ridgely. He was
nominated by his teacher Ms. Nicole King. Aaron’s teacher nominated him because “he is a hard working student who always tries to do his best. He is always focused on his current project and is a positive leader in the Dickson community. Aaron is very supportive of his peers and encourages others to engage in group activities. He is a wonderful role model.”

Superintendent Walter M. Calinger presented certificates and Borders gift cards to the Wolverine Spirit Award winners.
