Black Educators Visit Woodland Hills Elementary Schools

Group traveled to different schools in the district during Black History Month.

Participants from the Pennsylvania Black Conference on Higher Education, Inc. toured Edgewood Elementary during Black History Month.

The purpose of the group's visit was to read to students, donate books to classrooms and answer questions.

Each year, participants from around the state choose a community service project they will perform during the course of the conference. Since the state-wide event was being held in Pittsburgh this year, the participants chose to spend time reading to elementary students in the Woodland Hills School District.
