On July 22 at 9:30 a.m., all assets of the Churchill Valley Country Club and Beulah Road Land Co. will be sold at auction in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

There will be a hearing, the court will accept offers and sell to the highest and best bidder.

The country club—located on Beulah Road and straddles Churchill and Penn Hills—was placed into receivership in January.

According to the Pittsburgh Business Times, PNC Bank filed lawsuits against both Churchill Valley Country Club and affiliated Beulah Land Co., charging they were in default for debts totalling $1.4 million.

The club also owed property taxes to Churchill, Penn Hills and the Woodland Hills and Penn Hills school districts, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

The 147-acre property includes a golf course, a clubhouse and a swimming pool.

Anyone interested in bidding on the country club must be pre-qualified and placed a refundable deposit by July 19. For more information, contact the court-appointed receiver, Margaret Good, at 412-232-0113.
