Squirrel Hill Tunnel Lane Restrictions Set
The tunnel interior will be cleaned and single-lane traffic will occur Sunday through Tuesday nights.
Work to clean the interior of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel on the Parkway East (I-376) will occur on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, Aug. 19-21.
Single-lane traffic will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Inbound (westbound) restrictions will occur Sunday night followed by outbound (eastbound) work Monday and Tuesday nights, according to Jim Struzzi, PennDOT District 11 press officer.
Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area. Visit 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions and cameras on major roadways before traveling.
