Peduto Defeats Wagner in Democratic Mayoral Primary

William Peduto will be the Democratic candidate for Pittsburgh mayor in the fall general election.

Bill Peduto will be the Democratic candidate for Pittsburgh mayor in the fall general election after defeating Jack Wagner.

Peduto garnered 52 percent of the Democratic votes to Wagner's 40 percent. The two were  predicted to be the Democratic front runners in the race.

Also running were Democrats Jake Wheatley, who captured 8 percent of the Democratic votes and A.J. Richardson, who got 1 percent.
