Here are some random pieces of news from the boroughs:
Forest Hills
Forest Hills Borough offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, Dec. 28, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.

Office hours on Dec. 26 and 27 will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Normal office hours will resume on Jan. 2.
Edgewood

Because of the Christmas holiday, garbage/recycling collection in Edgewood will be on Friday, Dec. 28, instead of Thursday, Dec. 27.
Swissvale
The weight limit on the Kenmawr Bridge in Swissvale has been lowered to six tons because of safety concerns. Anyone found operating a vehicle over six tons on the Kenmawr Bridge will be subject to a citation.
