Swissvale Council Considers New Hires, New Equipment and Potholes

Swissvale Borough's Nov. 7 action meeting should address street fixes in Hurricane Sandy's wake.

Swissvale Council met Tuesday night to discuss potential agenda items for next week's meeting, including how the borough plans to rectify pothole problems related to street repairs and excessive rain on South Braddock Avenue and Washington Street.

Residents who have troubles with roads in the wake of Hurricane Sandy are asked to make a report to the borough by calling 412-271-7101.

Also up for discussion at next week's meeting is how the borough plans to lobby for federal funding to repair the Washington Street Bridge.
