Man Faces Drug Charges in Wilkinsburg Court

The latest from Wilkinsburg's Magisterial District Court.

The following case recently was heard in Wilkinsburg's Magisterial District Court.

Dominique Jahmil Harvey, 20, of Wilkinsburg waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.

In the criminal complaint, a Swissvale police officer stated he and other members of a task force arranged with an informant for an undercover officer to buy heroin from Harvey at the BP gas station at 625 Ardmore Blvd. on March 29.

When police apprehended Harvey shortly after, they seized 10 stamp bags of heroin and $200 in cash with serial numbers matching the bills they’d given their officer.

A formal arraignment is set for July 3.

Judge Robert Barner, who presides over North Versailles' district court, heard the case because judge Kim M. Hoots was ill. The remaining criminal cases were rescheduled for next week.
