District Court Reports: Judge Thomas Caulfield

The following is a list of cases heard in in Forest Hills before Judge Thomas Caulfield on Aug. 1.

  • Justin Jamal Jenkins, 19, of Homewood waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of loitering and prowling at nighttime, two counts of theft by unlawful taking—moveable property and two counts of receiving stolen property in connection with break-ins in the neighborhood surrounding . The charges were filed by Swissvale police.
  • Freddie Knight, 39, of Wilmerding waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, refusal to surrender registration plates, driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked, not driving at a safe speed and recklessly endangering another person after a police chase that started in the 1400 block of Beulah Road in Churchill, traveled onto the Parkway East and ended on Rodi Road in Penn Hills. The charges were filed by Churchill police.
  • Addam Drake Glover, 23, of Homewood was held for court on two counts of intimidation of a witness/victim, two counts of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and harassment (subject other to physical contact). Charges were filed by Forest Hills police.
  • Michael M. Mariani, 31, of Forest Hills was held for court on charges of simple assault, harassment (subject other to physical contact) and criminal mischief. Charges were filed by Forest Hills police.
  • Katie Walde, 35, of Turtle Creek waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking (moveable property) and forgery. filed the charges.
  • Kenneth Ray Henderson of Swissvale waived his right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of failing to comply with registration as a sexual offender. Charges were filed by the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.

The following is a list of cases heard in district court in Forest Hills before Caulfield on Aug. 8.

  • Daniel Walter Lekovitch, 25, of Braddock Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault, harassment (subject to other physical contact), public drunkenness and similar misconduct after an incident on Aug. 2 at in Swissvale. Charges were filed by Swissvale police.
  • Brandon Lamont Anderson, 28, of Braddock Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence (first offense), driving under the influence (high rate of alcohol), turning movements and required signals, careless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages (open container). Charges were filed by Braddock Hills police. Charges of selling a controlled substance (counterfeit drugs), failure to notify authorities of a change of address and restraint systems (failure to wear a seat belt) were withdrawn.
  • Joshua Anthony Gamble, 30, of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence (first offense), driving under the influence (high rate of alcohol, first offense), vehicle registration suspended, disregarding traffic lane, not using turning movements and required signals, not driving at a safe speed and careless driving. The charges were filed by Pennsylvania State Police after a traffic stop on the Parkway East near the Edgewood/Swissvale exit.
