Courts: Woman Charged with Possession of Heroin, DUI Cases Heard

Kurt William Heider, 52, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on a charge of theft by unlawful taking. Wilkins police arrested Heider after Forest Hills police informed officers that it was found he stole a driver’s license and two Visa gift cards valued at $100.

Jillian Dawn Anastasiu, 35, of Manor waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Edgewood police were dispatched to for a report of an unconscious, unresponsive woman. Officers arrived, found no one and employees said no one at the gym had called police. County dispatch told police the call was coming from a vehicle behind the Planet Fitness building where a woman was possibly overdosing.

Police said a man in the car ran out and threw what appeared to be drugs over the hill, then ran to , according to the criminal complaint. A second passenger reported that Anastasiu began shaking in the car and then passed out before police arrived. When she became conscious, Anastasiu admitted she had taken heroin, according to the report. Police found several stamp bags in the car and a syringe.

, 20, of Carnegie waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of assault, retail theft and harassment. Edgington was arrested by Edgewood police Sept. 14 after officers responded to a call regarding retail theft at the Edgewood Towne Center Kmart, according to the criminal complaint. Police said he had stolen several items and then pushed a loss prevention officer down to the ground.

Brian Alexander White, 33, of Turtle Creek waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft from a vehicle. Allegheny County Police arrested White Aug. 26 after Forest Hills police contacted them to assist with a report from the Fitness Factory on Ardmore Boulevard. Victim Christin Donofrio reported she had $3,600 in cash in the center console along with a paycheck from the . After entering the gym, she left her keys near a keyboard at the front desk. Police used surveillance video and later heard from Robinson Township police, who also had an attempt of a stolen car at L.A. Fitness by the same person, who was determined to be White, according to the criminal complaint.

Dwayne Blair, 26, of Pittsburgh waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, failure to stop at a red light, disregard of the traffic lane and exceeding the speed limit. He was arrested by Wilkins police June 29.

Tyson Carter, 24, of Murrysville waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence and reckless driving. Carter was arrested by Edgewood police Aug. 16 after a two-car accident at Swissvale Avenue and Race Street.
