Braddock Avenue Restrictions Continue in Parkway East Area

The short-term lane closures will last through late October as work on the Squirrel Hill Tunnel project progresses.

Short-term lane closures on Braddock Avenue in the area of the Parkway East (I-376) interchange will continue through late October.

Single lane closures and restrictions will occur as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Braddock Avenue. Crews will be conducting overhead work on the Parkway East ramps and bridges, according to Jim Struzzi, press office for PennDOT District 11.

No restrictions will occur on the Parkway East in this area at this time.

The work is part of the $49.5 million . The prime contractor is the Walsh Construction Co. of Canonsburg.

PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Visit 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
