UPDATE—Police Seek Help in Identifying Homicide Victim

Police reportedly say a woman was shot to death in Wilkinsburg on Wednesday morning.

Allegheny County Police are seeking help in identifying a homicide victim in Wilkinsburg.

According to the Post-Gazette, a woman was found shot to death on a South Trenton Avenue around 2:45 Wednesday morning.

County police Lt. Andrew Schurman reports that police have been unable to identify the woman because the trauma to her face was too severe and she does not have any fingerprints on file.

The victim is described as a black female in her 20s. She was 4’10 tall and weighed approximately 300 pounds. She was wearing a shoulder length weave in her hair, gray sweat pants and a long sleeve white tee shirt. Her shoes were Nike Air Max running shoes (photos of the shoes have been attached to this article).

Neighbors said the body was found partially under a car in the street, according to WTAE.

Allegheny County homicide unit is investigating the death. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call county police at 412-473-1300.
