Wilkinsburg Man Killed in Overnight Shooting, Another Shot in Hand

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A Wilkinsburg man was shot and killed overnight, while another man was shot in the hand minutes later.

Wilkinsburg police were dispatched to the Paul Court apartment complex at 12:05 a.m. in response to 911 calls about a shooting. 

There, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a local area trauma hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second person reported that he was shot while standing in front of a house on Princeton Ave. He was wounded in the hand.

It is reported that upwards of 20 gunshots were heard on Paul Court. The shooting on Princeton happened immediately after the Paul Court shooting and police believe the same people are responsible.

Numerous people were outside when the shooting took place.  We are asking for anyone with information to call the County Police Homicide Unit at 412-473-1300.
