Wilkinsburg Judge Hears Six DUI Cases

Wilkinsburg District Judge Kim Hoots heard the following cases on May 9:

  • Jamie Lemar Butler, 30, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and recklessly endangering another person. Wilkinsburg police accuse him of making arrangements with a man to come look at a car and then robbing him at gunpoint. The incident occurred on April 21 on Rebecca Avenue.
  • Jordan Elisabeth Gibson, 24, of Wilkinsburg waived a preliminary hearing on charges of disregarding a traffic lane and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Charges of operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and careless driving were withdrawn. Edgewood police filed the charges after a Feb. 13 incident on South Braddock Avenue.
  • Nigel M. Noel, 38, of Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar waived a preliminary hearing on charges of speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a March 2 incident on Penn Avenue.
  • Patricia Simon, 39, of Emsworth waived a preliminary hearing on charges of unsafe U-turn and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. A charge of careless driving was withdrawn. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a March 3 incident on Montier Street.
  • Stephen Elliot Tolliver, 44, of Corliss waived a preliminary hearing on charges of speeding, careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Three traffic violations were withdrawn. State police filed the charges after a Jan. 29 incident on the Parkway.
  • Daunte Johnson, 28, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on two sets of charges of simple assault. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after May 17, 2012, and Jan. 1 incidents on Ella Street.
  • John S. Copensky, 56, of Wilkinsburg waived a preliminary hearing on charges of careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a Feb. 2 incident on Wood Street.
  • Ricardo Lee Arnold, 42, of Aliquippa waived a preliminary hearing on charges of disorderly conduct, recklessly endangering another person, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, simple assault and three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a March 8 traffic stop on Center Street and North Avenue.
  • Richard Gus Williams, 55, of Wilkinsburg waived a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault and terroristic threats. A charge of unlawful restraint was withdrawn. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a Feb. 25 incident on Ross Avenue.
