Wilkinsburg Court: Hoots Hears Drug, Assault, DUI Cases

District Justice Kim Hoots heard several cases.

The following cases were heard by Wilkinsburg District Justice Kim Hoots on March 27:

  • Heather McGee, 29, of Wilkinsburg was held for court of charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and intent to possess a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after an Aug. 16, 2012, incident on Sylvan Terrace.
  • Philip Hessler, 34, of Bethel Park was held for court on two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Edgewood police filed the charges after a Jan. 19 incident on West Hutchison Avenue.
  • Monica Grimes, 35, of Garfield was held for court on charges of accidents involving injury, driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after an Oct. 16, 2012, hit and run accident on Wallace Avenue.
  • Ryan Michael Peters, 31, of Bloomfield waived a preliminary hearing on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. A traffic violation was withdrawn. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a Nov. 7, 2012, incident on Ardmore Boulevard.
  • Darnell Lamont Davis Walker, 25, of Mt. Oliver waived a preliminary hearing on two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Charges of disorderly conduct and careless driving were withdrawn. Edgewood police filed the charges after a Feb. 9 incident on Coal Street.
  • Theresa Brown, unknown age, of Wilkinsburg waived a preliminary hearing on charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and two counts of simple assault. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a March 23 incident on Wood Street.
