Warrant Issued After Swissvale Shooting

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of shooting a 19-year-old in Swissvale Tuesday night.

Police are searching for Marcel Thompson, 19, of McKeesport. He is described as roughly 5’7 and 130 pounds with the word “Regina” tattooed on the right side of his neck.  

At about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Swissvale police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of Noble Street. They found another 19-year-old had been shot in the abdomen. The victim was taken  to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the County Police homicide unit initiated and investigation and determined the shooter Thompson.  An arrest warrant has been issued for Thompson charging him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and firearms violations.

Anyone sighting Thompson is asked to call 911 immediately.  Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call the homicide unit at 412-473-1300.
