Teen Waives Hearing on Robbery, Assault Charges

A 19-year-old is accused of assaulting a woman near the East Busway's Hamnett Station in Wilkinsburg.

A 19-year-old will face charges in common pleas court after being accused of assaulting a woman near the East Busway’s Hamnett Station in Wilkinsburg.

Michael Don Le Robinson of Pittsburgh waived his hearing on charges of aiding consumation of crime, robbery, disorderly conduct and simple assault before Wilkinsburg District Justice Kim Hoots last week.

The teen—along with a juvenile male—is accused of assaulting a 26-year-old woman who got off of a bus at 12:50 a.m. on March 10 and stealing her purse. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges.

His formal arraignment in common please court will be on May 22.
