Swissvale Shooting Victim Arrested for November Homicide

Swissvale police were called to Milligan Street this morning after a call of shots fired.

The victim of an early morning shooting in Swissvale has been arrested for the November murder of a Wilkinsburg man.

Thaddeus Crumbley of McKeesport was shot Thursday morning and placed under arrest while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

On Nov. 13 at 3:52 am, 39-year-old William Clark of Wilkinsburg was shot in the 7300 block of Frankstown after leaving a bar. Clark was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.

Homicide detectives conducted an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Crumbley that charges him with criminal homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, and persons not to possess a firearm, according to police.

Arrangements will be made for him to be arraigned during his recovery.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Swissvale police were called to Milligan Street around 1:10 a.m. for a reported shooting. SWAT officers were called to the scene and no one was found inside of the apartment building. Crumbley is in critical condition.

Swissvale Police Chief Greg Geppert was not immediately available Thursday.
