Swissvale Man on Edge After Bullet Pierces Bedroom Window

Police tell residents one person was shot.

Swissvale residents tell Patch they are worried about their safety after a shooting on Columbia Avenue last weekend.

One of the bullets pierced through the bedroom window of Chuck Kerber.

"I was home," he said. "Luckily downstairs.

"I am totally concerned for my safety now."

Kerber said it was the third shooting in his neighborhood in the last year.

"I'm fed up," he said.

To make matters worse, Kerber said his neighbor and his neighbor's child found a gun next to his home on Thursday.

"It might be time to move," he said.

Kerber credited police for showing up quickly to Saturday night's shooting and being "all over the situation."

Swissvale police could not be reached for comment.
