Report: Wilkinsburg Man Caught with Heroin Failed to Report as Megan's Law Offender

A Wilkinsburg man was taken to the Armstrong County Jail charged with heroin possession and failing to report as a sexual offender.

According to the Tribune Review, Law Bey, 31, ran from state police Tuesday morning in Manor Township after a traffic stop in which he was a passenger in the car.

The Trib reports Bey gave a false name and birthdate. He was asked to put his hands behind his back, but instead jumped over a concrete traffic barrier and ran. He was caught near the Allegheny River carrying 70 stamp bags of heroin, $300 cash and marijuana.

Bey was convicted in December 2009 of luring a child into a vehicle in North Versailles in 2008. He served a sentence in county jail and is required to report his whereabouts every three months for life, but failed to do so, the Trib said.
